However, it also becomes possible resources for those who want to get better understanding in swimming strokes. In the beginning, we will try to define what swimming strokes are. Swimming strokes are various techniques of dislocating the arms and legs to push against the water and thrust the swimmer forward. Swimming strokes then should create the least possible water resistance. During swimming, there should be a minimum of splashing so that forward motion is smooth and not rough. Strokes in the swimming circumference is known as styles or crawls. Swimming strokes can also mean assorted single completion of the sequence of body movements repeated while swimming in the performed style. It is possible to swim by moving only legs without arms or only arms without legs; such strokes may be used for special purposes, for training or exercise, or by amputees and diplegics. Swimming stokes are categorized mainly into 4 principal strokes, which are Freestroke, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Breaststroke.
